MOTORCYCLE Insurance Policy
Unfortunately, a crash is a strong possibility when you are on a motorcycle or a recreational vehicle, and insurance may cover the cost of your losses when that happens. Medical bills, vehicle replacement or any damage that you may have caused to another's property – all can be covered, for your peace of mind.
When you have an insurance policy, you make a monthly payment that is a fraction of the cost of what it would take to make costly repairs or pay for a lengthy medical stay. This premium amount will vary and it depends on the amount of coverage that you choose to secure when purchasing your policy. When you make a claim for an accident or a repair, you will normally incur payments for a deductible, and there is usually a cap on the amount of money disbursed per claim, or per year.
There are different types of coverage available that depend on your budget, needs and type and age of your bike or other recreational vehicle. If your vehicle is older, you may consider a liability only policy or a bodily injury and property damage plan. This will not reimburse you for your bike or RV, but it will protect you from costs associated with medical care and replacement of other people's property.
You can also opt for a more comprehensive plan that covers more of yours and others’ needs, which will increase the cost of your monthly payments but provide you complete coverage in the event of an accident. Uninsured motorist coverage is also available to protect you from drivers who do not have insurance, and custom parts and equipment coverage can be acquired if you have an expensive vehicle that would require costly parts to be replaced.
